Do I need experience with marketing data to use USADATA?

No. Our products are built for marketers, not data engineers. SL360 walks you through audience building step by step. Hailey AI lets you describe your audience in plain English. And our Data Specialists are available at (800) 399-8611 for free guidance at any point.

Our Data

Where does USADATA data come from?

We partner with the nation's leading data compilers and specialty list managers. They gather data from dozens of public and proprietary sources: public records (tax assessors, deed registrations, census), surveys and registrations (subscription cards, warranty forms, online opt-ins), purchase histories (retailers, e-commerce), and self-reported information (in-store and online surveys). Using multiple sources allows cross-verification, which is how we provide accuracy guarantees.

List Types Available

What types of lists does USADATA offer?

Consumer mailing lists and sales leads: Search by demographics (age, income, gender, marital status), geography (ZIP, city, state, radius), lifestyle interests, and purchase behavior.

Business mailing lists and sales leads: Search by business type (SIC/NAICS code), company size (revenue, employee count), executive title, and geography.

Occupant lists: Addressed to "Current Resident" at every address in a defined area. Use when you want to saturate a geography without demographic filters.

New homeowner lists: Home buyers searchable by purchase date, purchase amount, and other criteria. Available weekly or monthly.

New mover lists: Recent address changes — both home buyers and renters. Searchable by move date. Available weekly or monthly.

Canadian consumer lists: Demographics-based targeting for up to 11 million Canadian consumers.

What is the difference between a consumer list and an occupant list?

Consumer lists use demographic and behavioral filters to reach specific individuals within a household — addressed by name. Occupant lists reach every address in a geographic area addressed to "Current Resident" — no demographic filters, no individual names. Consumer lists are for targeted campaigns. Occupant lists are for saturation coverage.

Data Quality and Accuracy

What mail deliverability should I expect?

If you mail within 30 days of your order:
• Consumer mailing lists: 94% or better (typically 98-99%)
• Business mailing lists: 90% or better
• Occupant lists: 95% or better (typically 99%)
• New homeowner lists: 94% or better
• New mover lists: 94% or better

What phone accuracy should I expect?

If you call within 30 days of your order:
• Consumer lists: 90% or better
• Business lists: 85% or better

How does USADATA ensure accuracy and protect consumer privacy?

Every data source undergoes monthly hygiene processes: NCOA (National Change of Address) processing, DMA Do Not Mail file scrubbing, FTC and State Attorney General Do Not Call file scrubbing, deceased suppression, and prison suppression. These processes protect consumer privacy and ensure only qualified prospects receive your campaigns — saving you money on wasted mail and undeliverable contacts.

Are phone numbers Do Not Call compliant?

All consumer sales leads with phone numbers are privacy-compliant at the time of purchase. Lists are scrubbed monthly against the FTC and State Attorney General Do Not Call lists. Over time, individuals may add themselves to the Do Not Call list — it is ultimately your responsibility to scrub your list before calling. Register for a Subscription Account Number (SAN) at donotcall.gov to access the most current Do Not Call registry.

Which product is right for me?

If you order lists occasionally and want a simple interface, start with SL360 or Hailey. If you order frequently or resell data to clients, SL360 Registered gives you saved searches and advanced features. If you run a decentralized sales force — insurance agents, franchisees, branch managers — the Leads Portal or Module lets your people self-serve under your brand. If you want to integrate USADATA data into your own tools, use the APIs. Not sure? Call (800) 399-8611 for a recommendation.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. No subscription, no platform fees, no hidden costs. You pay only for the data you order.

Do I need to register to use SL360?

No. You can run counts and get quotes without registering. However, registered users get a private login to save counts, quotes, and searches — useful if you order regularly. Contact a Data Specialist at (800) 399-8611 to set up a registered account.

What other services does USADATA offer beyond lists?

Data enrichment and enhancement, data hygiene (NCOA, merge/purge, deceased suppression), audience strategy (ICPs, lookalike modeling, segmentation), omnichannel campaign execution (digital, direct mail, CTV, social, email, paid search), matchback reporting and attribution, and portrait reports. Call (800) 399-8611 for details.

Do you offer solutions for resellers?

Ordering, Pricing, and Delivery

How much do mailing lists and sales leads cost?

Pricing is based on the number of records and filters applied. Volume discounts available. View the retail price grid at sl360.com or contact (800) 399-8611 for a custom quote. Reseller and partner pricing available separately.

How long does delivery take?

Lists are typically delivered within 5-15 minutes during business hours. Existing clients receive 24/7 delivery. Orders placed by new clients after hours are delivered by 9 AM EST the next business morning — typically within 1 hour.

What format will my list arrive in?

Standard online orders are delivered in two formats: comma-delimited text file (CSV) and Excel spreadsheet. Printed mailing labels are also available online. Other formats available by request — call (800) 399-8611.

Can I save my searches and quotes?

Yes. Within the order flow, click "Save Search" and complete a short form. You'll receive an email with your free quote and a link to retrieve your count anytime. Pick up where you left off without re-entering filters.

What is single-use versus multiple-use?

When you order a list, you are renting it. Single-use means you may use the list once. Multiple-use means you may use it as many times as you want for one year. If someone responds to your campaign or becomes your customer, you may continue marketing to them beyond the usage terms. Occupant lists are available for one-time or two-time use only.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You may also pay by check or money order with a signed agreement.

What is your return policy?

Orders may be canceled within five business days with a cancellation fee of $5 per 1,000 names ($25 minimum). After five business days, orders may not be canceled. If you make an error and need to re-order, there is a reprocessing fee of $3 per 1,000 names ($25 minimum). If you receive more returned mail than expected and mailed within 30 days of your order, contact us to discuss — handled case by case.

Privacy and Compliance

Is USADATA compliant with privacy regulations?

Yes. USADATA is fully compliant with TCPA, CCPA, GDPR, and MCDPA (Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act). We are registered as a data broker in California and Texas. We operate as a "service provider" under CCPA, not a "business." SOC 2-aligned security controls protect all data — AES 256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege access.

How can I remove my name from USADATA lists?

Email your name and full address to privacy@usadata.com. We will add you to our suppression file and will not rent your name to any client. You can also register with the Direct Marketing Association's Mail Preference Service at dmachoice.org — your name will be removed from thousands of databases simultaneously. Additional opt-out options are available through Acxiom and Data Axle.

Does USADATA sell personal information?

USADATA does not sell, trade, or rent personal information collected from clients. We provide privacy-assured marketing data sourced from public records, surveys, purchase histories, and self-reported information — all subject to monthly hygiene and compliance processing.
