Make Your Data Work. Harder.
USADATA cleans, enriches, models, and activates data. From basic hygiene to predictive modeling and persona development — everything you need to turn raw records into a marketing advantage. We partner with every major data provider in the US, so if the data exists, we can get it.
Data Enhancement
Your customer file has names and addresses. USADATA makes it useful. We match your records against our database of 260+ million consumers and 15+ million businesses, then append the attributes you're missing — turning incomplete files into a targeting foundation.
What We Append
Demographics: age, income, gender, marital status, education level, language, ethnicity
Property data: homeownership status, home value, property type, age of home, lot size, mortgage info
Firmographics: industry (SIC/NAICS), company revenue, employee count, year founded, headquarters vs. branch
Contact data: phone numbers (landline and mobile), email addresses, verified mailing addresses
Behavioral signals: purchase history, catalog and online buying behavior, charitable giving, subscription data
Life stage: presence and age of children, household composition, new mover/new homeowner status, marital transitions
Lifestyle and interests: hobbies, travel, fitness, technology adoption, vehicle ownership, pet ownership
Financial indicators: estimated net worth, credit range, investment activity, discretionary spending capacity
How it works
Send us your file in any standard format. We match, append, standardize formatting, remove duplicates, and return a clean, enriched file ready for campaign activation. Most enhancement jobs complete within 2-3 business days. Real-time enhancement is available via API for ongoing workflows.
Data Hygiene
Bad data costs money on every send, every call, every campaign. Invalid addresses waste postage. Duplicate records inflate costs and skew analytics. Outdated contacts mean your message never arrives. USADATA identifies and fixes these problems before they reach your campaigns.
What We Clean
Address standardization — USPS formatting, apartment/suite normalization, ZIP+4 assignment
NCOA processing — identify and update households that have moved within the past 48 months
Duplicate identification — merge/purge across files, within files, and across channels
Deceased suppression — remove records of individuals who are no longer living
Do Not Mail / Do Not Call suppression — scrub against DMA, FTC, and State AG registries
Prison suppression — remove incarcerated individuals from campaign files
Deliverability scoring — flag records by likelihood of successful delivery
Email validation — identify invalid, inactive, and risky email addresses
Why we clean
Clean data means fewer wasted touches, better deliverability, more accurate analytics, and lower campaign costs. Most clients run hygiene before every campaign and quarterly on their master database.
Portrait Reports
A Portrait Report is a comprehensive analysis of your best customers — not who you assume they are, but who the data says they are. Upload your customer file. USADATA matches it against our database and builds a complete profile: demographics, geography, lifestyle preferences, purchasing behavior, household composition, financial indicators, and the traits that distinguish your top buyers from everyone else.
What a Portrait Report Reveals
Who your best customers are — age, income, education, household makeup, property profile
Where they're concentrated — geographic density, trade area mapping, proximity patterns
What they buy — purchase categories, spending behavior, channel preferences
What they have in common — the 10-20 attributes that statistically define your ideal buyer
Where to find more of them — untapped geographies and demographics that match the profile
How it’s used
Portrait Reports are the foundation for everything downstream: ideal customer profile development, lookalike modeling, audience segmentation, campaign targeting, and media planning. Without a Portrait Report, your targeting is based on assumptions. With one, it's based on evidence.
Predictive Models
USADATA builds predictive models that forecast customer behavior before it happens. Using machine learning and your historical data, we identify which prospects are most likely to buy, which customers are at risk of churning, and where your highest lifetime value lives — so you can allocate budget to the opportunities that matter most.
Model Types
Propensity-to-purchase: Score every prospect by their likelihood to convert. Focus campaigns on the households and businesses most likely to buy.
Churn prediction: Identify existing customers at risk of leaving before they leave. Intervene with retention campaigns while there's still time.
Lifetime value modeling: Estimate the total revenue each customer will generate over the life of the relationship. Prioritize acquisition spend on high-LTV profiles.
Response modeling: Predict which segments will respond to specific offers, channels, and messaging. Reduce waste by suppressing low-probability segments.
Cross-sell / upsell models: Identify which existing customers are most likely to buy additional products or upgrade. Financial institutions have seen up to 40% acquisition lift through USADATA cross-sell modeling.
How models are built
We start with your historical customer and transaction data. USADATA's data science team analyzes patterns, trains models against our database, validates against holdout groups, and delivers a scored prospect file ranked by the behavior you're trying to predict. Models are refreshed as new data comes in — they get smarter with every campaign cycle.
Customer Linkage
When customer data lives in multiple systems — CRM, email platform, point of sale, call center, website, direct mail files — you lose the complete picture. The same person exists as three different records with three different IDs and no connection between them.
USADATA Customer Linkage consolidates and synchronizes your records across every channel and system into a single, unified 360-degree view of each individual. One customer, one record, every touchpoint connected.
What Linkage Does
Matches and merges records across systems using name, address, email, phone, and proprietary matching algorithms
Resolves identity conflicts — same person, different spellings, different addresses, different contact methods
Creates a persistent customer ID that travels across platforms
Connects online behavior to offline identity — website visits to mailing addresses, email engagement to store visits
Enables true cross-channel attribution — see which touchpoints across which channels drove each conversion
Why it matters
Without linkage, you market to fragments. You send the same offer to the same person three times because your systems think they're three people. You can't measure cross-channel impact because each platform reports in isolation. Linkage fixes this — giving you a single source of truth that makes targeting, personalization, and attribution possible.
Look-A-Like Modeling
Once you know who your best customers are (via Portrait Reports and ICP development), USADATA finds more people who look like them. We score every household or business in our database against your ideal profile using predictive modeling — ranking prospects by similarity to your real buyers across demographics, behavior, geography, and purchase propensity.
How USADATA look-a-likes differ from platform look-a-likes
Data depth: Platform lookalikes (Facebook, Google) are built from one platform's behavioral signals. USADATA lookalikes are built from 260+ million records with hundreds of data attributes — demographics, property, financial, behavioral, lifestyle.
Channel portability: Platform lookalikes work only on that platform. USADATA lookalikes work on every channel — digital, direct mail, CTV, social, email, paid search.
Transparency: Platform lookalikes are a black box. USADATA shows you exactly which attributes drive the model so you understand why the audience works.
Output
A ranked, scored audience file of prospects who match your best customers but haven't purchased yet. Ready to activate across any channel. Refreshed as new performance data comes in
Persona Development
Most marketing personas are fiction — invented profiles based on internal assumptions. USADATA personas are built from real data. We analyze your customer file, identify distinct buyer segments, and develop data-backed personas that reflect who actually buys from you, why, and what differentiates each segment.
What a USADATA Persona Includes
Demographic profile — age range, income, household composition, education, property profile
Geographic patterns — where each persona concentrates, urban vs. suburban vs. rural
Behavioral drivers — what they buy, how often, through which channels, at what price points
Media consumption — which channels reach each persona most effectively
Messaging hooks — what motivates each persona based on lifestyle, life stage, and purchase triggers
Segment size — how many people in your market match each persona, and where they are
How personas are used
Personas inform campaign messaging, creative direction, channel selection, and offer strategy. A home services company might have three personas: "Recent Buyer" (new homeowner, high urgency, responds to maintenance offers), "Long-Term Owner" (aging systems, responds to upgrade financing), and "Investor" (rental properties, responds to fleet maintenance pricing). Each one gets different copy, different offers, different channels.
